Das Hotel in Kreuzberg

Last night I popped into Das Hotel, an exclusively candlelit corner on Mariannenstraße. I was pleased to find a lack of pretension, as the crowd was a patchwork of the young, old, and canine. The wide array of gin and tonics, although a bit pricey by student standards (I opted for the 8 euro Juniper, garnished with fresh berries and flower blossoms), promises a refreshing start to any summer evening.

The bold orange exterior provides a nice contrast to Das Hotel's flowery, romantic indoor space

Relaxing wait for my G&T
